PROGRAM TEAM:

GUYS & GIRLS UNIT LEADERS   (Spring/Summer Term)

Provide support and leadership to the Cabin Leaders, assist with program planning and execution, provide leadership & teaching for Step Out. Actively involved in the day of the campers with activities, supervision, teaching, and leadership. 

* First Aid certification required

INTEGRATIONS LEAD   (Spring/Summer Term)

Work with Program Director to prepare "safe plans" for campers with additional needs. Work closely with parents/guardians/caregivers to prepare safe plan, coordinate with workers accompanying campers, assist cabin leaders and provide time off for workers when needed. This individual will work closely with campers and their families to prepare for a fantastic camp experience for everyone involved. 

* First Aid certification required. A working knowledge of potential behavioural, emotional, physical needs of campers. Experience working with special needs youth, in group homes, school environments, or one on one support environments an asset. 

SKILLS COACH   (Spring/Summer Term)

Work with Program Director to plan for summer camp skills programs, assist with rental skill needs, prepare skill areas, plan and run program games, ensure skill areas adhere to camp and MCA policies and standards, teach skills, support and mentor skill leaders.

* First Aid required & Certifications in skills areas an asset - canoeing, archery, biking, etc.

WORSHIP & ARTS LEADER   (Spring/Summer Term)

Prepare chapel and fireside materials for camp programs, mentor/ lead chapel and fireside teams, lead pickle jar prayer meetings, plan/prepare craft & newsletter skills, assist with program devotional materials, assist with theme development, coordinate with camp speaker.

* Have previous experience in drama and leading worship. Musical leadership. Instrument ability an asset.

STEPS LEAD   (Spring/Summer Term)

Program implementation of Camp Nutimik's Steps programs. Teach leadership and Bible sessions. Run GITs and leadership debriefs, Mentor Steps leaders and campers. Assist with Cabin Leading when Steps programs are not in session. Assist Program Director with program interviews and preparation. 

*First Aid required. Previous experience in leadership training and development. Must have experience with Camp Nutimik's Steps/leadership programs and have a working understanding of mentorship, leadership and team building. 

ADVENTURES COORDINATOR   (Spring/Summer Term)

Work with Program Director in planning and preparing for Day Trips/Out Trips in all program areas including - canoe trips, tent adventures, and Steps programs. This individual will prepare for and lead trips, assist with running programs for tent adventures, and ensure that all trips adhere to all applicable policies and standards.

*First Aid required - Wilderness First Aid preferred. Lifeguard certification an asset. Experienced in canoeing and camping. Previous experience in out-tripping (preferably at Camp Nutimik), trip leading experience an asset. 

MEDIA PRODUCER   (Spring/Summer Term)

Photography for camp program, prepare weekly slideshow, prepare smug mug galleries for campers, run slideshows & sound for chapel meetings. Send cabin photos for print. Prepare end of season promotional slideshow. Capture and prepare additional photography/media based on program and promotional needs. 

*Previous photography experience. Working knowledge of PowerPoint and sound system an asset. Portfolio submission required.

WATERFRONT LEAD   (Spring/Summer Term)

Plan & teach waterfront program, provide lifeguard training, guard for rental groups, supervise & coordinate waterfront team, ensure all procedures adhere to camp and MCA policies and standards. 

* 19 years+. Current NLS & Standard First Aid. Minimum 1 year experience as senior lifeguard. WSI or LSI an asset. Boating License.

HEAD LIFEGUARD   (Spring/Summer Term)

Lifeguarding duties and assist with waterfront programs and activities. Supervision of Assistant Lifeguards. 

*17 years+. Current NLS certification. Standard First Aid. Previous guarding experience. Boating License.

ASSISTANT LIFEGUARDS   (Summer Term )

Lifeguarding duties and assist with waterfront programs and activities. 

Lifeguard responsibilities are paired with other staff positions (ie. Cabin Leader, Unit Leader, Steps Mentor, etc.)

*Minimum Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid. NLS, AWSI an asset. 

STEPS MENTORS   (Summer Term )

Provide leadership/mentorship to Steps Campers. Lead Steps cabin group. Debrief team building activities. Assist with teaching sessions and program activities.

*Previous experience in leadership with youth. Familiarity with Camp Nutimik's Steps programs an asset. Standard First Aid an asset.

CABIN LEADERS  (Summer Term )

Lead cabin groups. Build relationships with campers. Teach prepared Devotional materials. Assist campers and participate in camp program. Assist with skill leadership.

*Standard First Aid an asset. 

PROGRAM SUPPORT  (Summer Term  - weekly opportunities )

Assist Program Director with program and activities preparation and execution. 

SUPPORT TEAM:

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT   (Spring/Summer Term)

Answer phone calls. Assist with registration. Prepare weekly registration reports. Assist with office needs like photocopying, filing, mail, birthday cards, office scheduling and preparing paperwork for each camp program. Other office responsibilities as they arise. 

* Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Filing and office administration an asset. 

OFFICE ASSISTANT   (Spring Term)

Answer phone calls. Assist with registration paperwork, filing, data entry and additional office responsibilities as they arise. 

* Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Filing and office administration an asset. 

ASSISTANT COOK   (Spring/Summer Term)

Assist with food preparation. Give direction to kitchen staff in the absence of Head Cook.

* Food Safe Certificate. Knowledge of dietary intolerances/allergies are an asset. 

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT   (Spring/Summer Term)

Assist with facilities and grounds work around camp. Small maintenance/repair jobs, grounds keeping, stocking wood, etc. 

* Grounds keeping and maintenance experience an asset.

CAMPUS CARE LEAD   (Spring/Summer Term)

Give direction and leadership to Housekeeping Crew and assist with housekeeping responsibilities on camp site. Take care of lost and found throughout spring and summer programs, assist with laundry, and other campus care responsibilities.

DINING HALL LEAD   (Spring/Summer Term)

Give leadership to Dish Crew, set up, maintain and clean Dining Hall. Assist with Theme Meal preparation and clean-up.

HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR   (Spring Term)

Train and provide leadership to the Housekeeping team. Oversee proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures are being met. Give direction to dish crew and ensure dining hall cleaning requirements are being met. Assist with restocking, inventory and staff mentoring and feedback meetings.

HOUSEKEEPERS   (Spring/Summer Term)

Complete housekeeping and campus care responsibilities during camp program. 

DISH CREW   (Spring/Summer Term)

Complete Dish pit responsibilities and assist with Dining Hall responsibilities as required.

VOLUNTEERS:

HEALTH OFFICER   (Summer - Weekly)

Preferable to be a current licensed Doctor, Nurse or EMT.

Minimal requirements: current Standard First Aid including CPR certification. Experience in First Aid and emergency care management and asset. Knowledgeable in both children and adult illness/injury care.

CAMP SPEAKER   (Summer - Weekly)

Born again follower of the Lord Jesus Christ as evidenced in both word and deed. Recognized by congregation/home church as having the spiritual gift of teaching. Ability to relate well with children and youth and able to share Biblical truth in a contextually relevant manner.

KITCHEN VOLUNTEER   (Summer - Weekly)

Assist in the preparation and serving of food for the camp under the direction and guidance of the Camp Food Services and Hospitality Manager or designate.

MAINTENANCE VOLUNTEER   (Summer - Weekly)

Assist in the maintenance and upkeep on site or help complete projects as needed and directed by the Camp Facilities & Operations Manager.
