Food Services & Hospitality Manager

 

As the Food Services & Hospitality Manager, you will be a part of the Senior Leadership Team of Camp Nutimik and be primarily responsible to oversee, coordinate, and administrate all food services and guest group rentals offered by Camp Nutimik. Additional duties will include the oversight, coordination, and management of facilities cleanliness and some office administrative tasks. This position will also oversee and be responsible for supervision of kitchen staff and volunteers as required.​

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of current health and safety laws and practices is essential (Food Hander’s & WHMIS Certification)

  • Knowledge of and experience in preparation of special dietary foods (gluten-free, etc.)

  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen environment

  • Experience preparing meals for groups of up to 100 people at one time

  • Highly organized and professional

  • An ability to coordinate and organize volunteers and projects

Registrar

Registrar

 

Reporting to the Executive Director the Registrar ensures the highest quality of service is given to our parents, campers, staff, families, and agencies in a manner that delivers the mission and vision of the Camp. The Registrar is an integral, behind the scenes, role that supports the ministry of the camp. The Registrar is responsible for the administration of the registration process for all programs including summer camps and rental groups. This position has a flexible schedule with an increased time commitment during the summer camping season. The registrar exhibits a Christ-like character and professionalism through their interactions as the first point of contact for all parents, groups and agencies. It is expected that the Registrar will carry out the responsibilities listed in this document in a manner that glorifies Jesus Christ, demonstrates the Christian character traits of truth, love, and grace, and fulfills the Mission Statement to the highest standard of professional and personal excellence.

 

The ideal candidate must be positive, flexible and have an attitude of continuous self improvement. They must possess a service-oriented attitude effectively prioritize multiple tasks while being detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. The Registrar demonstrates a comfort with basic technology and common computer programs with the ability to learn new software.

Key Responsibilities​

  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and security of highly sensitive personally identifiable information that is provided by campers, their families, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders.

  • Ensure complete and accurate information is collected and processed in a timely manner.

  • Provide input into the development and updating of the registration form, receive and process registrations, account for payment of camper fees, maintain the camper and customer databases, and update records.

  • Account for the funds received in camper fees and prepare a package to be sent to the bookkeeper for tracking within the financial software.

  • Ensure all parents, participants, and various groups & organizations have the information required such as confirmation emails, information packages, and packing lists.

  • Receive and respond to all forms of communication with expedience or request assistance from Executive Director to meet this standard.

  • Track summer staff hiring paperwork and maintain staff database.

  • Send staff applications to Program Director.

  • Provide the Senior Leadership and Executive Director with requested or required reports.

  • This part-time position supports summer camp, programmed retreats, and other events throughout the year. Weekly hours will vary depending on the seasonal need with an expectation of approximately 6 hours per week, increasing to no more than 12 hours in the late spring and summer.

Qualifications

  • Personal relationship with God through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, evidenced through a growing, maturing relationship that reflects obedience and surrender, supported by witnesses from their local church. A reference check including at least one Pastor, as well as other believers who have known the candidate for at least five years.

  • Demonstrated evidence of the Fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-231), and other attributes of Christian character as listed in the scriptures.

  • Criminal Check, Vulnerable Individuals Registry Check, Credit Check.

  • Practices direct, honest, and transparent communication; admits mistakes; responds to situations with constancy and reliability; handles sensitive information with confidentiality.

  • Possess the following skills: organizational, administrative, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness to learn new programs, processes, or skills
