Day of Prayer

Each year an estimated 250,000 children and youth attend Christian camps across Canada. For many, the experience will be life-changing as they hear the message of the Gospel for the very first time. Camp plays a big role in establishing a real and lasting faith for children, youth, volunteers and staff alike; it is a stepping-stone to lives being transformed. CO-VID 19 has caused the world as we know it to grind to a halt and many camps including Camp Nutimik have cancelled or suspended summer programs. But God is still at work.

We are asking you to partner with us on May 31st as part of a national “Pray for Camp” initiative as thousands of churches across Canada specifically pray for Camp ministry and for those who are involved in reaching children and youth with the Gospel of Christ.

We ask you to specifically pray for Camp Nutimik:

– Our Camp Board for wisdom in the decisions that need to be made as we move forward

– The Leadership Staff of Camp Nutimik

Wayne Eisbrenner – Executive Director
Nancy Paschke – Program Director
Angela Lott – Food Services & Hospitality Manager
Geoff Lott – Facilities & Operations Manager

– Our seasonal staff who are not going to be able to work at camp this summer and for their financial needs.

– Our financial needs.

Since mid-March, Camp Nutimik has not been able to generate any income from guest group and school rentals. Our major fund-raising banquet was cancelled due to the pandemic, and additionally we are now also facing the refund of camper fees in the amount of over $50,000.

We praise the Lord that we are a part of the NAB family and that we are not standing alone. With God’s help, we will come through these times with renewed understanding that God has used this time for His glory.
