Important Dates

Required training for all staff:
Staff Training Week – July 11-16, 2021

In addition to staff training, individuals must be available for the duration of their term.
Posted dates may fluctuate according to need and will be confirmed at time of hire.

Program Team

PROGRAM LEAD

(3 positions available)

Term: June 7 – August 31, 2021

This spring Program Leads will be assisting the Program Director with preparing the summer program and writing the cabin devotional materials.

During the summer program, these individuals will provide support for the Day Camp program (ie. assisting with program activities, running camper sign in/out, running fireside camp games and will be actively involved with campers through interaction and activities) with additional opportunities of involvement with the Family Camp Program.

*Must have experience with leading and teaching children or youth, preferably in a camp environment.

HEAD LIFEGUARD

(1 position available)

Term: July 5 – August 31, 2021

The Head Lifeguard will complete daily waterfront upkeep duties – ensuring all procedures adhere to camp and MCA policies and procedures, in addition to supervising the summer lifeguard team and sharing in the guarding responsibilities. This individual will also provide weekly lifeguard training exercises and offer skill leadership at the waterfront.

*Must have NLS certification, Standard First Aid and a minimum of one year’s experience as a senior lifeguard. Must be at least 18 years old.

SKILL LEADER

(4 positions available)

Term: (terms vary between Skill Leader positions) start date as early as June 20th – end date as late as August 31, 2021

Skill leaders will be responsible for leading designated skills for both Day Camps and Family Camps. They will prepare and clean skill areas adhering to camp and MCA policies and standards. These individuals will assist in other program areas as they are needed and will be actively involved with campers and families through daily interaction and activities.

*Skill leaders will be expected to specialize in one or more skill areas and may be required to provide certification of their specialized skill. (Lifeguard certification will be required for waterfront skill leader positions.)

CABIN LEADERS

(4 female and 4 male positions available)

Term: July 11 – August 13, 2021

Cabin Leaders will lead cabin groups in Adventure Village for the Day Camp Program, building relationships with campers while participating in the camp program – playing camp games, assisting at skills, teaching devotional materials, etc. These individuals will also assist and participate in evening Family Camp activities.

ASSISTANT LIFEGUARDS

Lifeguarding duties will be given to qualified individuals holding other program positions (Program Leads, Skill Leaders, Cabin Leaders, etc.)

HEALTH OFFICER

(multiple weekly positions available)

Preferable to be a current licensed Doctor, Nurse or EMT. Minimal requirements: current Standard First Aid including CPR certification. Experience in First Aid and emergency care management and asset. Knowledgeable in both children and adult illness/injury care.

CAMP SPEAKER

(multiple weekly positions available)

Born again follower of the Lord Jesus Christ as evidenced in both word and deed. Recognized by congregation/home church as having the spiritual gift of teaching. Ability to relate well with children and youth and able to share Biblical truth in a contextually relevant manner.

Campus Care Team

 

HOUSEKEEPING LEAD

(1 position available)

Term: May 17 – August 29, 2021

Train and give leadership to housekeeping staff and assist with housekeeping responsibilities on camp site. Assist with inventory and ensure health and safety protocols are being followed.

HOUSEKEEPERS

(2 positions available)

Term: June 7 – August 29, 2021

Complete housekeeping and campus care responsibilities in accordance with all Health and Safety regulations.

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

(1 position available)

Term: May 17 – August 29, 2021

This individual will assist with facilities and grounds work around camp such as garbage pick-up and disposal, fire pit set up, lawn maintenance, building maintenance and cleaning, etc. This individual should be a hands-on type of person willing to problem solve and work in a variety of outdoor conditions related to the camping ministry.

Office Support

 

OFFICE ASSISTANT

(1 position available)

Term: May 17 – August 31, 2021

Answer phone calls. Assist with registration. Prepare weekly registration reports. Assist with office responsibilities and preparing paperwork for each camp program. This individual will also assist with Family Camp check ins and check outs.

*Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel, needs to be personable, self-motivated, organized and detail oriented.

Food Services

 

HEAD COOK

(1 position available)

Term: May 17 – August 29, 2021

Facilitate smooth and proper operation of the food management system, deliver healthy meals to campers, staff, and rentals. Ensure food safety standards and policies are implemented and practiced. This individual will supervise kitchen workers, ensure high quality, ample meals are prepared properly and in a timely manner in accordance with the weekly schedule. Oversee cleanliness and upkeep of the kitchen and assist with supervision and inventory duties.

*Must be 18 years of age or older and have prior experience in commercial food preparation, (including culinary student).

DISH LEAD

(1 position available)

Term: May 17 – August 29, 2021

Train and give leadership to dish staff and operation of dish pit. Ensure dining hall cleaning requirements are being met and assist with restocking and inventory.

DISH CREW

(2 positions available)

Term: June 7 – August 29, 2021

These individuals will aid in all aspects of dishes, kitchen and dining hall clean up in accordance with all Health and Safety regulations.
